I'm having a hard time believing this is done. A personal full colour piece (the first in a long while) which served as a practise on many things and turned out decent at that, with the help of many wonderful people both from DA and ConceptArt.I've had these questions a lot in it's progress while I was streaming, so I'll answer them to avoid having to answer them again in comments; every scale on the dragon as well as every strand of grass was hand drawn. I did not use any custom brushes, the standard hard-edge brush was used for the entire piece, with a few strokes of a soft edge brush here and there. Textures were used only for the rocks, and one for the base of the grass which I painted over so much that it was practically of no use xD.
I'd like to thank everyone that watched me work on this on LiveStream for their support and interest, and just for the fun :3. As well as those who read the entire description ;D.

You have such patience! It's so inspiring ;A; You definately inspired me to have more patience when drawing, and not go over details that would add to the drawing just because of laziness.
This has such a wonderful feeling to it. It's almost like you're there, feeling the slightly cold breeze in your face and all the fresh air.

It reminds me of those summers on the top of the hills where you just sit and enjoy the sunshine and nature. I really miss summer ;A;

The water looks so amazing D_D I wanna reach out and touch it.
I love how all the little streams up in the mountains run down to join the bigger river. It's almost like you can hear the water very faintly when sitting there.
XD gah, I am just going on and on about everything I see<3 I hope you don't mind a sorta long comment from me XD
But really, you have reason to be proud of this. The dragon, scales, grass, clouds, perspective, everything. It's so well done and a treat for my eyes
And thank you for taking your time to teach me about those scales C: I can't wait to try and give my poor critters some better scales xD

I kinda liked the earthy tone you showed off during your last live stream, but I do admit with this cerulean blue he looks like royalty that belongs in the sky.

The opinions on the colouration were extremely varied, so I took it it was mostly simply personal preference. Since it's my picture I went with my own preferred colour haha, I'm sorry to those who preferred the brown/olive ^^.

Congratulations on getting this done after such long and hard work. I think it is almost funny how blues were introduced for the dragon at the last minute, and how often blue/light blue schemes are used in your animal designs. ^w^ I enjoy this image very much, and applaud you for your beautiful composition and background detail!

Haha, yes. I tend to do that though, decide against things at the very last moment and redo them completely. Which is a good thing I suppose, but also kind of frustrating at times xD.
