Second panel (not counting the title panel) is so true. Although I did like Malon, the other two...not so much.

Your comic hits on a lot i've been complaining about since SS came out, i like parts of it, but link's model was atrocious in the last game. The ultra-feminizing of link really could stop. I'd take Kirby the misfit elf over that again.

To a point I can understand the devs wanting give Link a young face so that kids can relate to him, but if you're going to do that, just make him a kid! Don't paste a kid's face onto an adult sized body! It's just off, and it gives him that unnerving androgynous look.

Its also proportional issues, his shoulders are less broad, and it makes for a very disjointed adult. You're right, they gotta pick one side of puberty, if he's an adult make him an adult, if he's a kid he should be a kid.

It may also be that they're catering more towards the Japanese fan base, which has a different preference as far as masculine or feminine looking heroes go. Example: the game Nier allowed you to pick between a grizzled, macho hero and an effeminate man boy hero. The macho one tracked well in America and the man boy excelled in Japan.

I enjoyed certain aspects of that game. The swordplay was frustrating after a point though... because it wanted you to fence certain enemies by reacting to their motions, but Link doesnt react to YOUR motions until 10 years after you make them!

That or he just doesn't react at all and points the sword in the completely wrong direction because you dare play in your bedroom as opposed to the back of the living room wall.

That, and also ALL of the bird flying sequences were exhausting.

agreed. I hope it goes back to the Twilight Princess Aesthetic...because the half-toon style of SS is just.....Bleck. Toon works for Windwaker because the body-types fit the Toon colors well, but the human-proportion....not so much.

From the looks of things from the most recent conference, there'll be more bright-colors and cel-shading in the near future DESPITE the HD capabilities and the positive feedback from the TP aesthetic demo that was available at E3.
