It's so amazing!
When I saw this, I went "What the..." My brother suggested it was a tentacle. I said "But no, there's an eye..."
You know that its awesome when it has that effect.
By the by, you might be interested in seeing some of Jason McKittrick's work. He does Lovecraftian art, similar to this. I think you might be very interested to see it. Check it out at cryptocurium.com or his page here on DeviantArt.

excellent sculpting and concept.... I love the fact that you set in this way, as if on an examination table.... is it the spawn of the eldergods, or some new mutation... don't know but the design and execution is flawless. I might like to see a bit of goop on the towel, as if whatever this was oozed a bit... that could add to the over all replusiveness, but a minor detail to be sure. The colorization of whatever material you constructed it out of looks believable as well. Great work all in all. If you're not working for an effects house, you should be!

Thank you. It's air drying clay.

Well it's great work... how do you fix that... the air dry clay i've worked with can be returned to a maliable form when wet again.... do you make a plaster caste or something?

When painted with a very watery varnish solution the air drying clay becomes quite durable.

Good to know... I only dabble in sculpture... but I do like the air dry clay. Not too big on sculpy, I had my best success with traditional clay, but I lack an kiln. Either way nice work....

Both repulsive and cuddly-cute in a strange sort of way.

Quite nasty looking. I love it. This piece would go perfect in my Cabinet of Curiosities.

Wow, it almost seems real. Very interesting, like some Cthulhu fetus.

Aw, it's just a little baby Cthulet, nothing to be scared of!
Really great work on this, it looks so naturalistic, like a halfway-dried-out sea creature.

Really well done. I especially like the skin texture.
Only suggestion I have would be to have used an old towel and dab on some splotches of yellowish brown paint. Like its oozing icor.

good idea, I was planning to wait for the clay to dry off and use a mix of paint and p.v.a. to add some gloss touches.
