So I hear some people don't like Big Macintosh/Cadence, which is fine - I'll just draw Cadence/Blueblood instead! Enjoy! x)Anyway, the relationship between Prince Blueblood and Princess Cadence is not exactly a secret, it's just lowkey because a.) they're not exactly 'dating' anyway no need to get everypony to thrust their nose into their private affairs and b.) if it ever became obvious, they'd have to stop due to the scandal - so when they're forced to behave like proper royalty they just share a casual smile and a glance into each others eyes when they pass each other - promising that they'll find time together later. Celestia kind of just exists in a perpetual state of denial when it comes to their relationship. There's really a lot Celestia is in denial about when it comes to these two.
(When Big Macintosh is in town she's exclusive to him, when he isn't she's - with his blessing, since he knows just how badly Cadence needs companionship and distraction to withhold her depression - free to see others and that's mainly when she and Blueblood have the romantic/sexual part of their relationship.)

I'm not trying to call you out or be offensive, but what do you have against Princess Celestia? I think you explained it to me once -- that she's forced two ponies to become immortal Alicorns and she sent her own sister to the moon.

Nothing! I love Celestia I just find it more interesting to explore her fuckups, people really only focus on Luna but don't explore how what happened with Luna could have effects that ripple through the thousand years she was without her. I like the idea of her having to stare Cadence and Blueblood in the face knowing she fucked up and having to earn their forgiveness. Luna and Sunset left and she didn't have to work for forgiveness there, not saying the didn't personally try to atone and be better just saying it's different than having to face your mistakes head on. She's actually done a lot of great stuff overall and especially when it comes to fixing the mistake of letting the ponies completely self govern which led to a sort of unofficial caste system and a lot of discrimination/racism and in just Cadence's time she's done a LOT of positive reform across the nation. She just doesn't know to fix the mess inside the castle.
I actually don't think the Alicorn Ascension was her fault per se - she just didn't handle Cadence well at all when she came which led to Cadence hating her - it's actually really sad Celestia's so fucking lonely that she latched onto having an Alicorn companion forgetting that she was dealing with a sad scared child. She was horrified with her actions when she realized but by that time Cadence was fucking tired of her shit. She tries so hard to make up for it.
And also a lot of Celestia talk is from the POV of Cadence as a teenager and SHE hates her. I just write it.

I like the whole thing you've done with making this whole thing from Cadence's point of view. I myself never really fully believed that Cadence was always as nice and kind as she was -- she's a teenage girl. There are only so many people you can be nice to.

Exactly, also you take a teenage girl who's never felt as if she had a place, had her parents abandon her and then have to leave the only home she knew as a child to fulfill a destiny that she never signed up for with a pony she only knows as a monarch - one who, at first, took no opportunity to comfort her and help her adjust (again, not out of selfishness, she was just starving for companionship) and being thrusted into the limelight and all the troubles of an extremely corrupt prejudiced city afraid to change like the world around them is and taking it on her and her friends, is it any wonder she's a tiny bit cranky?
Exploring her POV is interesting to me because she's unique - Celestia and Luna are natural born Alicorns who've lived for so long and are considered demi-goddesses and Twilight ascended as an adult, pretty sure of herself, with the teachings and support of Celestia as a mentor and friend - Cadence was a teenage girl who was just normal and suddenly had the weight of a new horn and royalty on her back at a very young age. I like exploring that.
and again yeah I love Celestia, she's great, it's just fun to explore how she's fucked up because she never meant to hurt anyone and wants to do good, be a good leader and she is but when it comes to personal relationships she keeps fucking up and she just doesn't know why but it makes her feel awful...

Yes, exactly. And the pressure of fixing her mistakes (since she was isolating herself after Luna and then just didn't notice there was this vast of a problem until the social upheaval of the 960's) means she just, latched onto Cadence as a companion and it sucks that she is just, so lonely - it's like Pearl.
Luckily once things get really bad she's resolved to fix it all, gives Blueblood more actual duties and apologizes for making him a pawn for her purposes and reassures him that she's proud of him and he'll leave his old legacy behind and become something great one day, gives Cadence actual time and space and apologies and respect and let's her come when she's ready which is the least she could do and becomes a better mentor for Twilight.
so things improve a lot and the pain ended up coming to a good conclusion for her

Cadence is pretty much my favorite character too (aside from Discord XD) so I just love seeing fanart of her, regardless of who she is being shipped with :3 plus, as a shipper, I think the more shipping the better lol X3 But I'm glad that you won't let complainers get you down!
