Description
My (somewhat different) version of the infamous TALOS IV document, from the Star Trek episode The Cage.It tells that no Earth vessel should ever go to planet TALOS IV for ANY reason; only Fleet Command knows why.
Here's the shot I used to make it:

I couldn't get the right signature, short of trying to do it myself & scanning it, so I opted for the easy way out. Forgive me.
YES, I know it's not exact; like I've said before, my aim isn't to make things EXACT, but put some of my own spin on them.
This might also be made into stationery at some point.
Stay tuned.

Your ST art is quite interesting and I really like all of them. However I have a question to raise:
Why Spock has to sign as half-vucan and not only his name and title? Otherwise Pike should sign Earth-Born Human...
That's like say Afro-American and not only American referring to a negroid human born in USA. Or Italo-American to a mediterranean Human descendent from Italians. Or Nippo-American for a Japanese descendent. They are all American. Enough.
So, if you want to be precise, try United Federation of Planets Starfleet Vessel USS Enterprise Science Officer S'chn T'gai Spock would be the correct, as well United Federation of Planets Starfleet Vessel USS Enterprise Captain Christopher Pike.

I wonder why #1, as first officer, is not listed there. I'd go with the possibility she has no actual name or it's a secret.

Most likely; the network, after all, didn't like a woman being second in command in the first place, anyway.

Ha. Nice one, man. Next you should do one about Kirk leaving Khan on Ceti Alpha VI

We regret to inform you, that we have to leave your genetically-superior ass on a planet that is destined to become a desert. Sorry.
Yours Sincerely,

If I weren't so busy with my own DA projects and a new series, plus my own private life, I'd love to do a Star Trek fancomic.

Excellent, although after looking at the original letter, it seems a tad...archaic that Spock would be referred to as "half-Vulcan". Given Roddenberry's bent toward a more utopian society, he would have expressed it another way.
But again, we should also consider the time during which TOS was filmed, and the fact that the history of the Federation was largely being created from whole cloth here.

True; at least they tried for continuity and some type of balance.
Plus, no giant talking carrots, so it's pretty much a WIN either way.

I don't like the phrasing, 'no one will ever visit'...doesn't sound professional to me like a top secret document should

Well, it's from the mid-'60s; I kept the wording exact.
But, you're right; in an 'official' document the phrasing would be different.

Oh yeah. I don't mind some variation, but when it gets too radical, then it isn't TREK anymore.
I've seen a lot of fan-made stuff from the '70s and '80s, and I have to say, it's nice that you want your own versions of stuff, but they needed to stop that even before they started.

AWESOME!! I love how you added the watermark of the TOS Starfleet logo - great work, my friend! I always loved how much detail they put into everything in TOS.
