My views on each generation
G1: Nostalgic classics
G1.5 Interesting approach with its modern day setting
G2: PC game only but it's okay
G3: Soft but good
G3.5: Soft and cute but still okay
G4: Very good especially it's early days

True words have never been spoken. I'm starting to like G4 less for periods of times, and partially because I feel G4 has not a good balance between adventure and slice of life; too much of the latter becomes boring to me.

G1 and Tales were my favorite. G2 was only a toyline. G3 wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't as bad as Newborn Cuties. G3.5 was bad compared to the rest. Newborn cuties was horrible (in my opinion). (Most of) The fans of G4 ruined it for me.

Flaws, in my opinion:
G1: Doesn't appear to adults that much
G2: Some parts are too puppy'd up for meΒ
G3: Little plot and filled with the color pink
G3.5: Too pink, the ponies are odd looking (I find them creepy and cute)
G4: Attracts rabid fans
