Several people were complaining about the small font. Leaving critiques and comments are more than welcome, but I just don't like it when people use my tutorials and at the same time nitpick about the smallest things and don't even leave a "thank you" note.
So for those who do appreciate the 30 hours I spent in writing and drawing this tutorial: I uploaded a larger file. You can click download for full size.

This is a MASSIVE tutorial I did in only 2 freakin' days! LOL.
I said I would do a gift for you all because someone hit the 60.000 pageviews. Besides, I got over 1550 watchers and my drawings of Vincent and House got over 1000 favourites.
Ooohh look at the pretty colors. My previous tutorials look quite boring compared to this baby.

Tortillions cannot be reused except for smudged areas.
However, blendingsticks can be used more often if you sharpen them with a pencil sharpener or sandpaper!!

Thank you so much for doing all these! I use q-tips and cotton balls, with the occasional tissue thrown in... Seems to work okay. I've never had any luck with tortillions.

You stress shading left to right quite a bit. Are you right-handed? If so... For someone left-handed, should this be read the other way around -- shade from right to left? :3 Just curious.

I took a week long Charcoal class awhile back that explained most of this but the teacher never explained much about the shading like you did! (she mostly went on about the eyes and hair, how to measure the image and what not)
I had such a hard time getting it all to be even and blend and now I see why! I was using the 'Not ready for blending...' way...
If I ever try charcoal again this is definitely gonna help me out big time! (but I doubt I'll try again since I fail at charcoal...my picture of Miss Nebraska ended up looking like Joan Rivers...

You are so good among your age. I admire your works especially your preparatory period pieces, where you honestly display your drawings even though its still not that refined.
You are honest, caring, and would always look for the welfare of other aspiring artist. You do not withheld informations which you strive to know over the years of practicing and discovering them. I hope there will be more artist like you.
As for me, I content myself admiring fellow artist and respecting their works and the advancement they have made. I wish you a bright future.
