The sun no longer greets me warm

Water offers no pleasure to my lips
and words have nothing to confess.
The truth’s sacred blood now drips,

Spring will reflect on me no more
and holidays won’t make any sense.
Thoughts on a thread someone tore
inquiring why, their voice so intense.

Stars are now fading from the sky
and mirrors won’t answer my call.
The torture in me is no longer shy
in darkness I can watch myself fall.

Meaning means nothing to me now
and people are willing to comfort.
Tears found their way out, but how?
Soul casts blame, but I can’t retort.

cause fear ceased to be my source.
