Although they are surrounded by cherry blossoms, Sesshoumaru seems interested only in a certain bellflower. He moves in to close the distance between their lips while Kikyou appears to melt under his gaze...

Note: For these who don't know, Kikyou's name means Chinese Bellflower.

I have to say I'm proud of how this artwork came out. I tried a new way to color, and I loved the result. The lineart and colors were done in Paint Tool Sai, the background and effects in Photoshop 7.

I made this fanart to try to inspire those who decided to participate in the Spring 2011 Contest at We are holding a challenge for each season. Come visit the group and check our current theme. ^ ^
