I've just been experimenting with different materials. The next piece I'm submitting should be quite the opposite to this.Related content

You evoke to me the image of cossete, fron Les MisΓ©rables. I don't know why... you just do.
Gourgeous photography, just like you.

I think you should've had white eyeliner on to create a more pure, softer image. i still love it to bits. But it just would've worked better, i think.

So pearly! (best word I could find hehe), I like the softlness of it, and how you're huddled in the white, I love it. :+fav-:

Comparison critique of this and Sullen , makes sense as they're a pair:
Firstly, kickass .
Again, your pictures seem to work better when they're really close in. Not that you shouldn't experiment with distance, but the emotion comes across more undisturbed by backdrops. This is especially evident with the self-portraits, maybe that's slightly unavoidable unless you use the self timer.
I think the paired photo idea is brilliant; it makes the viewer focus on the contrast between the two rather than their individual merits. That can be a disadvantage and/or an advantage, but in my eyes, you've pulled it off. I was considering suggesting that you should've placed them side-by-side in the same image, but now I think that'd probably lessen the effect, as I see them as very seperate entities rather than a comparison.
I may have just contradicted myself there, but I have to go now as it's the end of ICT . Sorry about the short comment love.

When I first starting editing them I had actually planned to have them side by side. But I decided they might be better off as individual pieces - but still a sort of...series. Also I really didn't want any background, that's why I had the camera so closeup. I wanted the lace/tulle to be a border for the face and even though it didn't work as perfectly as I had hoped - it still turned out alright.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment

that's goooorgeous - really amazing job. Elegant yet mysterious, a difficult combination to achieve, I believe (I'm a poet! <-- ) with the colour white and the material lace. Gorgey!
