Happy Midsummer's Eve!Second annual Midsummer's Eve party happened today at my house. There was torrential rain, vanilla cupcakes with blue icing and rainbow star sprinkles (they were fabulous if not overly sweet), and a movie! (The Ghost and Mr. Chicken)
I felt I HAD to draw something. I love drawing fairies.

Hey, your lines look so sure and confident! How did you do that? I'ce just recently began using my tablet, and my lines are well wobbly and kinda awkard... I've always wanted to produce the clean, Disney-style lineart, but I guess I need to practice more... Also, how do you make your lines vary in thickness like that, if you dont mind sharing? : ] Oh and do you use photoshop?

Wow, you ask a lot of questions!
I use paint tool sai, not photoshop. Photoshop is great for editing pictures but not too good with drawing, I find. You do need to practice a lot on the tablet before you start producing decent art; I took at least a month on and off before my drawings started looking neat. And with the line thickness thing, usually the harder you press the pen down, the thicker the line will be. Usually.

Actually, yeah your lines are really clean. Like all the time. They're much better than mine. That's what i really like in your artwork. Everything seems kind of... planned out. When i draw it's kinda messy D: Cute hands

Why thank you, m'dear! Yes, I kind of do the lines REALLY FAST. Like, I don't sketch it out slowly, but I sort of draw the whole line in one and hope it curves in all the right places.
