Sank-you Kodi chama
Psst, I added a slight yellow variation to the photo, and that's what made it so soft and calming
Don't tell!

What a beautiful wood! Was this a planned shot or just plain luck? Great composition, great colours, great DOF and a great mood... The only thing I can criticise is the lens flare on the flower. I suspect it would be even greater without it.

You might be surprised to know that this photo was taken at the back of an empty lot. The houses had been demolished and the land had been cleared. And invisible to the world beforehand were these beautiful trees and flowers. What lay beyond the trees? A busy highway with no end of cars and trucks driving past. In between the two technologies thrived this natural growth.
This is actually the second time I've found something beautiful behind a newly cleared lot. Houses seem to hide the best natural attractions. And I found this while on an innocent walk around the neighbourhood. So no, the shot wasn't planned . You're right about the lens flare though. I wonder if it could be edited out? As for DOF, I can't claim too much credit, as it was simply a matter of using the macro setting on my camera. Thanks for the in-depth comment though. And I'm glad you like it!

I'm sure it would be possible to edit out the flare. Either burning it or perhaps cloning or healing it.

Stunning. I like the use of size cues in the compostion, really adds good depth. And i don't have to say the lighting is used just right, it is so evident.

The best thing about this fantasy world is that it's just down the street on a newly cleared block.
The worst thing is that when they construct new houses on the block, it will disappear.
But fantasy worlds are only ever around for a short amount of time, aren't they? Books, movies, games.
It is not necessarily a bad thing.
There is so much fantasy in the world that it would do no good to dwell on one place forever.
Thank you for the inspiring comment
