I decided to do illustration friday this week - the theme was βobsessionβ and I figured phobias are kind of an obsession.yes i have a bug/spider/etc phobia WHAT GAVE IT AWAY

I hate to say it,but I have a phobia at heightsyet I'm good at landing at heights.O.o.I like spiders.But don't give a tarantula to me.

I like this a lot. It embodies the panicked feeling that comes along with a phobia very well. While I am not phobic of spiders or insects, I do have extreme fears of other things and have been victim to the occasional spider/insect dream myself which can be terrifying to almost anyone. Looking at this piece I find it well drawn as well as panic-enducing while still being colorful and I just had to stop by and tell you that I find it's a job very well done.

Ack, ack, ack!! Up in the HAIR!? Oh whyy. As adorable as this design is (with all its lovely foreground spiders and little shadows), I can't help but shiver (and itch, a little).
I used to have a spider phobia. Now it's less spiders and much more cockroaches.

I try to do that but my options are limited. My dad doesn't care, my brother is more scared of them than I am, and my mom has a tendency to kill them and just leave them there. ;_;

I hate bugs too, especially roaches. I can't even look at pictures of them. I get shaky holding a Raid can lol.
Anyways awesome work. The whole pic has this creepy claustrophobic feeling to it.

OH GOD me too, i HATE THOSE PICTURES. I hate roaches, too; we used to have big ones like 3/4 the size of my thumb when I was living in Detroit. ;_;

haha, lovely... although I love spiders, I just think they are so misunderstood. They can keep your house clean of ants, cockroaches, flies, and many other bugs who are actually bad for a home safeness. Although I understand they can be creepy for some people... specially a bunch of them crawling at you. Again, lovely like all your other illustrations!

I used to have a friend who loved them very much, though. Particularly large, furry ones. She wanted one as a pet.
Despite my own phobia of spiders, I quite enjoy this. It reminds me of that feeling where you just saw one spider and then you start thinking they're everywhere, and then you start feeling them crawling around on you...sfjlfdsjl. Not fun.

Yeeeees. Oh god. I had a roommate who always had these super close-up photos of spiders as her computer wallpaper and we were always arguing about whether the spider was cute or horrifying. I voted horrifying
