i can also imagine you doing another drawing with this being with some civilian riding it's back away from a fire and see some small doodles of it's previous job and the like, i can see that civilian resting their feet of those flat glowing surfaces on the hind legs and the footprints being left on them in a sort of other coloured luminescence (i can see blue or orange for imprints), so maybe it grew attached to 1 civilian in it's memory of that persons foot and careful holding of it's horns.

a bio engineered being for guarding and night safety, now reduced to a mere dazzling pet to some unmentionable cad, the Bio luminescence was for leading a lost traveler to their home or location to add more safety and convenience for the city status in Tourism and populous, the connected horns are for heightened sense of heat and wind hit for detecting fires and or explosions and can even read the particles of smells reminiscent of a sniffer dog, not to mention effective for a civilian to hold onto when too weak to escape or run and can be used as a ramming device so no criminal can hide, mostly a Nocturnal creature which it's favorite source of food is Japanese Apple Pears as sucked up via the bump between the horn openings (seemingly shaped as lips)

Its looks like a syntheticaly/factory manufactured creature that could be used as gaurd dogs or infantry...thats my guess at least.

Runs across IO (jupiter's inner moon) soaking up the intense radiation to feed symbiotic bacteria in the glowing pits, the thin structure is to reduce the obstruction between the bacteria and the intense radiation, the green is the glow of the reactions, its black because its skin and flesh is laced with lead in order to shield the rest of its cells from rampant mutation.

Okay, I know this is probably a boring idea, but let me toss it out there anyway. The creature reminds me of some sort of plankton eater. Of course this appears to be terrestrial so probably not, but maybe some sort of insectivore. The big bad bug eater.

simply a beautiful work, beautiful colors and lighting.

Armored guardian creature for a bunch of clever peoples who live in palaces with similar kind of architectural doodads in multiple colours. they like to engineer their cyborgian creatures to have fancy armor for ceremonial purposes. the army units are less ornamental and more practical, minus the antennae for forwarding signals to the base.
the peoples have other creatures too, different species, different coloured armor and different purposes.

The hind leg and head armour seems suited to catching/holding/propelling spheres in some form of group recreational activity.
