that blue color doesen't show on most scanners right?what blue is it?

Man, I have a technical question. You sketch with the light blue pencil right? later, you draw over there with the black pencil, right? in the final piece do you still have the light blue sketch in the back or do you erase it? if you keep it, is it invisible when you scan it??

the blue is visible when you scan it. the only way it wouldn't be visible is if you made a photo copy of it. that's why it's called "non-photo" blue. again, the blue is visible within a scan, but you can easily eliminate it with some level adjustments in photoshop. the darker and more precise your black pencil line work is compared to your lighter blue pencil sketch work... the easier it will be to get rid of the blue lines when adjusting the levels. hope that makes sense, lol. just be precise with your final pencil rendering and draw dark, then the blue lines should be easier to erase in the levels tab.

the blue pencil is specific. it's usually lighter in shade than the others. and any art store will know exactly what kind it is. i usually go to a Utrecht or Pearl art store. I'm sure you could probably order them online as well. the good ones are about $1.00 each at least, but there's nothing wrong with going cheaper, lol. checked out ur page too. good stuff, man. wish i could color like that, lol.

The Bat should have been Batgirl. You know, to fit the theme. Have you done a Batgirl picture? Can't recall. *goes to check gallery* No you have not. For shame, C-dubb, for shame!

well batman is totally separate of course, lol. but, honestly, if they were in the same group together... would you expect batman to change places with batgirl, lol? he's gotta be one of the only characters i know that could show up in any show or anime, self-assuredly and self-righteously maintaining himself as "The Batman", lol.

What you say is true! Batman has... charisma? Haha. The only other character (with my limited comic knowledge) that may come close to rivaling Batman's, um, arrogance, would probably be Deadpool. Haha.

non-photo blue pencil. good for roughing out your drawings and fine tuning the detail with a graphite pencil. i'm really sketchy, so for clean lines, using pencils like these are a must for me, lol. and the batman is really coming along. look out for it.

not off topic at all. tools are important, lol. i use non-photo blue pencils. there are different varying types, but they're all basically used for layouts or chracter/background animation roughs. when you work with non photo blue pencils, i find it easier to flesh out the details with a 2H or F pencil. the end result is amazing.

hey, who do you think i'm even doing these for? lol. though, i did talk to Nei Ruffino, and i might just have to get something colored by her. something that YOU have inked. a group pic like the other princesses will be a bit steep for now, but i am definitely considering getting them all colored by her. in the meantime, i might be getting a solo character colored. so, if you have the time, one of the pencils i gave you might need your inks on it soon. i'll note or email you about it.
