Discord: "It took six Elements of Harmony to defeat me, both times. I completely shut down the Elements once by warping them to their core, and one of them I didn't even need to touch. I squared off against Celestia and Luna in their prime, when the world was still wild, and my defeat at their hooves demanded they call for divine help.
You, on the other hoof, took on one Princess who'd been ruling in peace time for a thousand years. You never even met the one who's had nothing to do for a millenium but brood on hatred and plan atrocities to commit to whomever she pleases. And you merely tapped Celestia's head and opened a jar of green honey on her, not wrack her heart with guilt over the pain you caused her student. You also chickened out of facing the Elements directly. To top it all off, you did all of this by leeching off of someone's love for a few months, so any judge would say you were doped.
And still you were beaten. Not by the Elements, no, not by the weapons that defy mortal understanding. You were beaten by a security guard with a childhood crush, whom you'd spent months weakening beforehand. The fact that you needed said crush to do anything only compounds the issue.
See, what I'm trying to say here is: I am the bane of civilisation itself. I am a predator to civilised life. You, on the other hoof, are a parasite.
I am the dragon who devours civilisation, you're just a cold that civilisation catches once in a while."
Character playing aside, I love how the villains are both so distinct. The mind control was very different in between the two, the look and feel was awesome on both counts. The fact that the makers can put so much detail and power into characters actually serves to make it more impressive when they add new ones.
Also, a cool pic, with a cool idea. Their expressions are just perfect. Hope to see more of it!

Yes!!! It's a perfect duo!
Discord thrives on the hatred between creatures while Chrysalis feeds on and manipulates the love between creatures and their beloved. This combination lays itself out like butter on bread. I pray to King Thiessen that this happens in Season 3! Twilight Sparkle and her friends are gonna go through real hell to defeat these two together!
But, moving on this fanart illustration, it's very detailed and expressive! You've drawn all three characters neatly and accurately according to their designs and personalities! Great use of texture too!
