Jane had told her friends that the end of days were amongst us, but they didn't take her seriously. Now she was alone, lost, and amongst the ruins of what once was; and to further complicate things, she had no idea on where she was headed. Just get out of the city, she told herself. And it seemed simple enough, if it hadn't been for all the fires. They were everywhere! She appreciated the fact that it helped to light up the city, yet at the same time, it blotted out the sun with all the smoke, plus it made it hard to breathe.

Nevertheless, Jane was determined to survive. She was determined to make it out of the city.

She just wished that that shadowing thing, whatever it was, would stop following her...
