Description
Check out the Exercise and Download the Practice Sheet HEREEXERCISE: To practice the art of shading gems accurately with confidence.
This exercise is to be confident in adding gems, jewelry, or ornate decorations to your future character designs or adding set details. Adding simple gems around a necklace, head pieces or through other jewelry pieces can add that extra detail your character may need to add more interest. These are simple to create and when you know how to add them accurately, it’s a nice tool you can feel confident working in your character designs! Below is the handout sheet and you can HIDE the layer containing all the wording and “tips” so that you are left with 6 clean outlines of different gems.
The 6 different gems are as follows:
Lastly, try having each gem be a different color and look at reference to see how different gems (emerald, ruby, amethyst, sapphire, topaz, etc.) carry a particular color and how to accurately depict them!
Download your handout and submit it by next Friday to be one of the top submissions entered for this exercise!

i don't get the illusion of three, it just looks like a pattern of triangles coloured in by an autistic kid who likes green
no offense i just calls how i sees

Um...I kinda take that offenseively...because I have a friend who is Autistic and I have Aspergers...but I understand that you may think that and you didn't indend to offend anyone so I won't hold a grudge on you.

Approximately %40 of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder are actually well above the average cognitive levels of non-ASD individuals. These individuals are usually great artists, technologically savvy, and knowledgeable on specific subjects.
The rest of the individuals who fall on the spectrum are actually average or near-average. The majority of what people perceive to be "mentally retarded" in Autism is the way they act. Many with ASD do not understand social or behavioral queues and do not act appropriately in a given situation.
No, as for the specifics of your comment: An autistic would actually be very good at coloring these gems because many are good at understanding the artistic points and properly placing colors.
I hope you will be a little more informed the next time you consider using that analogy.

a lot of autistic kids are better artists than those with full mental faculties.
