Is the foreground colours always darker than the background? Speaking for making landscapes and such

Depends on the scene, but as a general rule it's a good one to follow, especially if you bring atmospheric perspective into consideration and factors like that!

In the video- which I watched real cool- another trick you can do when using the group option, is to select the layers you want by pressing one layer then holding down shift select the amount of layers you desire, THEN hold down shift, click the groups button and it automatically creates a new group with the selected layers in the group. a trick I just learned its really handy.

I dont know if you realized it already just thought I should point it out for the sake of others. lol
