This is based on a deviation by ~tinkerbelle . I saw it, fell in love, and tried to improve it.
-Therefor the concept, all the written words, the above poem, all the emotions, the hand all belongs to tinkerbelle
-I only did the post-manipulation, and as `noir once said:
"photo manipulation is easy - we are the whore of the art world - hehehehehe"
So all
tinkerbelle, and give her the credit.[EDIT]
The original deviation by ~tinkerbelle has been removed, i don't know when, or why. My best guess is that it might have been too emotional for her. (?)
~tinkerbelle has now left DA, and her last journal entry, Dec 29, 2003, reads:
"I won't be submitting any more pieces
Everything has become much too painful
Goodbye. "
I don't know where she's gone off to, but wherever she is, i hope she's alright...

From looking at the picture this is what i probably did:
A normal serif font. Played around with it.
- Converted to a shape layer and moved individual letters.
- 1px black inner stroke
- Then added a layer mask and erased bits and pieces of the letters with rough/textured brushes.

All I can say is wow!!!... That is so beautiful!!! Made me tingle all over... and what was written afterwards was beautiful :

can't believe i haven't seen this before - i love the concept and the messy feel to the edges. expertly done, without being overly melodramatic or angsty. room for interpretation.
