Description
For a personal project to categorize the Digimon in evolution charts. All evolutions are straight lines, where the Digimon evolve through (mostly) normal means.This one is Botamon, the classic, original Digimon, who digivolves into mighty dinosaurs and dragons. The original Dragon's Roar!
Based off of the original V-Pet, version 1: lcd.wtw-x.net/VpetEvoChart1
Botamon -> Koromon -> Agumon / Betamon
Agumon -> Greymon -> MetalGreymon -> WarGreymon
Agumon -> Tyrannomon -> MasterTyrannomon -> DinoRexmon
Betamon -> Seadramon -> MegaSeadramon -> MetalSeadramon
Betamon -> Airdramon -> Megadramon -> Goldramon
Agumon / Betamon (junk evolution) -> Numemon -> Monzaemon -> Jijimon
(Does not include guys like SkullGreymon, RizeGreymon, ShineGreymon, etc. I acknowledge that they're in there, but for purposes of this project I'm just doing straight lines for each champion, at least for now.)
UPDATE1.0 Monzaemon no longer evolves to GoldNumemon
UPDATE1.1 Monzaemon evolves to Babamon instead of Jijimon
Update1.2 Changed it back to Jijimon instead of Babamon. Indecisive, aren't I?

It is better that you do not digievolucion Monzaemon, it does not make much sense, well, I know there are digivolutions that does not make sense in most of the digimon, but please, do it, monzaemon is my favorite digimon and with that digestion of jijimon Disfavor it, please remove jijimon in the digi-evolutionary line

I consider the original and pendulum v-pet evolution charts found in File Island to be the closest thing, personally. They're what inspired my project, in fact :3

Thanks! I'd really appreciate some suggestions for the newer digimons that I'm not familiar with, like are there new digimons that digivolves from the ones above

I find the best way to discover new digimon is go on wikimon and look for lists of digimon by year introduced. That helped me find a lot of new stuff. Specifically, I'd suggest trying to come up with stuff for all the new Olumpus 12 guys they're coming out with, if you want a challenge!

I just now realized that Megadramon digivolve to Goldramon.
Megadramon is evil, sadistic and bad. I don't know much about Goldramon, but I think that he is good and wise digimon.
Can Megadramon -> Megidramon works?

Yeah, I know that there are some problems with Megadramon -> Goldramon haha. I decided it was the evo that I thought made the most sense despite, though. Megadramon -> Megidramon has some merits, but I see Megidramon as being pretty solidly set in Guilmon's line so I usually won't use it outside of that, personally.Β
Another factor for this decision was: What else IS there to evolve to Goldramon? There really isn't a lot that really seems to fit with his flavor, and I definitely wanted to make the connection between Airdramon and Goldramon-- Megadramon, with his serpentine body, masked face, and feathery wings (plus two arms to make his physionomy consistent with Goldramon's) is basically the best fit. It has a lot to do with these consistent design elements that made me decide that this was the way to go with this line.Β

I'm also thinking of reworking the format entirely into more of a web-format, with more Digivolution options added in (like 5 per rookie and 2-3 per higher stage).Β

DarkTyrannomon -> MetalTyrannomon is canon, and I'm trying to use every Digimon throughout these so I did Master-T. Tyrannomon -> MetalTyrannomon is completely viable, though.Β

Well, maybe so, but all Digimon have to come from somewhere! If you go backwards from each Mega stage, it is indeed able to be made into a straight line, though given as it is that there are more Rookie Digimon than lower-level Digimon, it seems logical that Baby and In-Training Digimon can turn into multiple Rookies. Likewise, there are far more Champion-level Digimon than any other level, so to map out evolutions for all of them, using multiple Champions per Rookie is necessary as well.

You may be pleased (or apathetic) to know that I changed Monzaemon's evolution from the slime-angel to Jijimon, the age-old guide for beginning Digimon tamers. I thought it fit.

WaruMonzaemon is the same level as Monzaemon (Ultimate, stage 5). He can become WaruMonzaemon through viral corruption, yes, but WaruMonzaemon is not his mega stage.
I'm not gonna lie, I did struggle a bit to find a good mega stage for Monzaemon. :<

Haha I wouldn't call it art, honestly. xP But thank you, I did try to make it look pretty at least. :3 I do research and discuss them pretty thoroughly before I finalize them.
And don't sweat it, there are a lot of hardcore fans of the series who will probably have bigger problems than those with these charts of mine.

Wow, I'm surprised to have people respond so quickly. o.O Yes, Airdramon is the Champion on the bottom. Megadramon is the most widely-accepted evolution for Airdramon, and I think it's easy to see why! I was a little iffy because he's a Virus-type, but ultimately, I don't think it matters much in this case.
