So here, look over a log and into the trees and see the light filtering through. One of only a few times I'm actually going to explain the title XD
Blaaaaaargh, splits-elliptic is sooo haaaaard to customize if you're keeping a typical splits-elliptic base. It's classic and instantly recognizable, and easy to make thanks to the awesome tutorials on it, but it's not good if your goal is to "abstractify" it and make it something different. I wanted to give up twice when making this. Once because it was just so hard to shape, and the second time because almost no color combination wanted to play nicely. I hope the end result was worth the effort ;_;

worth the effort? it certainly is
it looks like a broken mirror, where every part is reflecting a different view. pretty awesome (:

Huh, interesting analysis of this. Β I definitely can make out various shards and angles from it now that you say that. Β Thanks for sharing

Well, abstract art /is/ abstract and not necessarily easy to define. Β Does it need to make sense for it to be interesting or enjoyable to look at?
As I said in my description, imagine "look[ing] over a log and into the trees and see[ing] the light filtering through."
