Description
After Godzilla's fight with Maguma on the Southpole, he went north to seek warmer climate and some "food".After he destroyed a submarine equipped with nuclear-weapons, and absorbed all of the atomic energy, he ended up on an island outside of Indonesia. This island were Varan's current home, and he wouldn't let some damn stranger take it away from him, so he attacked Godzilla. BIG MISTAKE! The smaller Varan had no real chance against Godzilla and after a short, but messy battle, Godzilla broke his neck.
Little Note: I didn't got enough room on the paper so I coldn't draw the whole legs on Godzilla.

IMHO, Varan is The Greatest Underrated. Couldn't he have some better movie than just VtU and cameo in DaM (where he wasn't even a costumed actor, but a puppet)?

cool! interesting.....you know those two never really frought each other in the series, they had more of an allieance with each other. i still would like to see these two fight, even through it's easy to know who would win.

Why the hell does Toho keep remaking monsters like Mothra, king Ghidora and Mechagodzilla more times than I can count when there are plenty of other creatures that need revamping, Varan being one of them. Others would be Titanosaurus, Gargantua, Gorosaurus and Oodako.

True. However, King Ghidora and Mothra have really begun to bore fans (me included) with their constant reappearances and revamped origins. Apparently in "Godzilla, Mothra King Ghidora; Monsters all out attack", the director originally wanted Varan to be the leading Yamato monster, yet for reason purely for profit and merchandising, they replaced him with Ghidora. The suit designers were dissapointed, but allowed Varans legacy to live on by sculpting Ghidoras heads with a very Varanesque feel. Anyway, enough of my ranting. Your picture is very well done. I like the way your Varan is more lizard-like rather than just looking like another dinosaur. Godzilla needs more brutish enemies, not ones who spew energy beams.

Wow, pretty good, I really like it. Little scrappy Varan does seem to be putting up a fight against the Larger Godzilla and doing some damage, though it ievitabally won't last because of Big-G's healing.
