Description
I made this for a local independant film crew looking for a prop book, kind of a necro-nomicon sort of thingProcess:
1: cut out leather, sewed edges together.
2: flipped inside out
3: cut out Brass pieces
4: filed levels seperately
5: sanded
6: heat treated brass and scortched leather edges
7: chemically aged brass
8: riveted brass to book

This is a nice book, I really like your work on the brass corners! Hand cut and filed?

Thank you, that means allot from you!
Yep all the parts for this were cut and filed by hand, i didn't have much time to finish this prop so i kinda rushed a couple parts.
Even though it was suposed to look like a old beaten up book a demon made, i wish i had more time too work on it. I made some mistakes like i forgot to account for a second layer of leather when i made the corners, didn't have time to give them more shape etc.

It is an amazing piece! I really love the metalwork on it! Time is always short on such projects! I understand what you mean having corners too small for the thickness of the cover boards!
