The previous rough [link] didn't quite capture the purpose of this piece, but I loved it lol. It will be saved for completion later. It had this scary ass vibe to it, like "who the fuck is that walking the streets at night in the rain? Wait is that a gun?"It was decided that the character should closer to the viewer, so he has more impact in the piece instead of the focus being the city behind him.
Now it feels more like he's walking up on you (the viewer) in the rain, looking scary as hell....ah, we all love psychos.
Lets see how long it takes me to knock this out......

oddly, I dig the first one better. it captures the whole mood. Maybe the same pic as the first, but with a closer shot of the chick. Cause the first one felt like she was coming at you(the viewer)

Really nice piece, but I actually thought the first one was scarier. It felt more like the viewer was running from him and he was comin after you. Either way though, lookin forward to the finished piece.

You sketched out a pretty decent perspective, did you wing it or you used some construction lines?

I mean, I just drew the perspective I had in mind, so I guess? Perspective is pretty simple in my eyes, so I just go with whatever works. I like to warp it a lot to squeeze more in and I dont believe in str8 edges

As long as it looks right, it works. Yeah, perspective is simple as long as you follow some basic rules, which you handle pretty well.
Bent buildings look awesome, a welcome break from the everyday stuff we see all around.
