Description When a villain dose something For the Evulz means they have no motive for their action and they dosed did it for the hell of it.

Of course, Tropes Are Not always Good particularly this one. Poor writing of this trope can lead to Stupid Evil or Evil Is Petty or Generic Doomsday Villain territory.

Examples

Nearly all depictions of Batman's arch-nemesis, The Joker.

The Dark Knight version of The Joker is the character above for a reason. He does not care about lost lives or pain - including his own! He lives without rules and enjoys showing others how stupid it is to do so. He finds destroying social and moral standards as amusing as blowing up hospitals.

The Master from Doctor Who

In Fairy Tail:

Acnologia when he was human he killed hundreds of dragons not because he's a Knight Temper. But because he enjoyed it. As a dragon he goes around causing random death and destruction for the same reason.

Jackal admits that he's not looking to gain anything he just sees humans as play things.

Master Zero who craves destruction for it's own sake. Not only does he have no motivation, he doesn't want one.

In Fullmetal Alchemist

Lust (in the manga version) is like this, carrying out Father's orders just because she gets to cause pain and suffering towards humans. Though she isn't as bad as...
Envy, who also displays this trait way too much for his own good, as his sadistic tendencies introduce him to a world of hurt when he's up against smarter opponents. Though it turns out that all along Envy was trying to make people act like selfish animals since he envied human bonds and human strength and wanted to think they weren't really better than him at all.
Barry the Chopper, though he occasionally does good things.
In the first anime, Zolf J. Kimbley plays this completely straight, as he loves to cause explosions and makes people living bombs, because it amuses him. He confirms this during his showdown with Scar.

Scar: And what is it you fight for?
Kimbley: Nothing.
Scar: 'Nothing'?! You mean to tell me you sacrificed all these people, for NOTHING?!?

In Dragon Ball

The motivation, understanding and epitome of villain Majin Buu once he's stripped down to his true form.

Broly does unspeakable acts of destruction and slaughter just because he thinks it's hilarious.

All the villains from Captain Planet except Looten Plunder, Hoggish Greedly and Duke Nukem.

The Fairly OddParents

The anti-fairies go out to cause bad luck, for no other reason than to go out and cause it.

Vicky also counts. Her very purpose in life is either to swindle cash or torture those under her care, even her own little sister.

One memorable episode of Teen Titans featured the season's Big Bad trying to create a giant tidal wave to drown the city - for no discernable reason at all. Admittedly, the one-shot villains often fell into this too

Also the Brotherhood of Evil, at least in their first appearance. There is no logic reason, other than being a massive dick (quite an accomplishment for a Brain in a Jar), that the Brain would use a black hole machine to destroy the Titans' home city. They weren't even there at the time, and he knew it. Even their later plan to capture and freeze every hero only seems to be so they can be evil without interruption.

Even Slade flirted with this β€” see "Forces of Nature", where Robin wonders why Slade wanted to destroy the city, and never gets an answer. For that matter, Thunder and Lightning from the same episode would fit under this label, although they have a more believable "motive" of causing trouble for the fun of it because they're immature jerks.

Sleeping Beauty has Maleficent. She tries to murder the titular character. And when that fails, she captures her Prince Charming so she can send him back when he's old and grey. Why? 'Cuz she's "the mistress of all evil!"

In Powerpuff Girls, this is the only reason Him does anything.

On Young Justice, the council of Big Bads are Social Darwinists dedicated to the advancement of humanity across the universe... except, apparently, for Klarion, a Lord of Chaos, who joined because he thought it would be fun.

Sid from Toy Story spends most of his free time thinking up ways of torturing toys for a quick laugh, including, but not limited to, tearing them apart and switching their pieces together.

Avatar The Last Airbender: Azula may have her eyes set on the crown and other external motivations, but a lot of times she seems to just enjoy being an evil .

Especially when you consider how cruel Azula was to Zuko during their childhood.

Shego from Kim Possible. her entire family is classic Lawful Stupid. When Kim, visiting another superheroic team composed of Shego's old family, points out that having a huge TV screen in their base that the villain can appear on any time he likes for spying purposes is a huge security flaw, Shego's response is an annoyed "Because it was obvious!" When the Lawful Stupid nature of the brothers is commented on, Shego goes: "Why do you think I left!?"

Discord from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic loves causing chaos with his reality warping powers simply because he wants to.

In real life

Their serial killer. Some murders want money or revenge but others do it just satisfy their own sadistic blood lust.

Theirs also bully's who pick on weaker people because they can.

Definitely Lord Dominator for this one. She goes around destroying entire galaxies one planet at a time simply because she loves to destroy things and spread misery and desolation. Obviously she's not interested in friendship or relationships, but she's also not interested in minions, lackeys, subjects, or even leaving anyone alive around to praise her for her acts of villainy. Her sole use for all sentient life is to sadistically torture and kill it for her own amusement.

In her own words: "I'll vaporize your galaxy and bid ya' 'bye-bye'! Why?" "...'Cause I'm the bad guy."

While I didn't vote for him and I'm not going too argue that Donald Trump is a morally up right person (because he's not.) And he is for the most part a stereotypical capitalist. But I feel like people still exaggerate his negative qualities (and make him look like a cartoony supervillain.)

However I will say that Mr Trump is more on the lines of Lawful Evil or at least Lawful Amoral.

-Do you think my character Markis counts? he tortures living beings because he is physically uncapable of feeling pain and has a warpedΒ  sense of empathy so he thinks inflicting pain in others makes him good.
andd he is pervertedΒ  and almost all of his lines are pickup lines.
yes, he was designed to be disgusting.

Broly was emotionally fucked up since babyhood. We have Gokus constant screaming next to him and King Vegeta to thank for his insanity. And Frieza destroying his home planet didnt help at all though it did save Brolys and his fathers life sort to say.

Carnage would count in this category, for another comic example, and a Marvel one, at that. He was a nihilistic serial killer even before bonding with the offspring of the Venom symbiote that used to be Spider-Man's costume, and from that point, he became a super-powered spree killer so horrific Venom and Spider-Man were willing to put their differences aside to fight him.

In order words that villain is not realistic.

no. Some who kills because he likes to kill did it for the Evulz.

The Joker dose this all the time a he's still realistic.

Sure, I was thinking about Chris Nolans Joker, which was different from the original comicbook-Joker, that Joker was very unrealistic from a psychological and sociological viewpoint, but Im sure your right.

Though if this is done poorly it can be very annoy, unbelievable, unrealistic, and just plain ridiculous. The version of the Joker in the image Heath Ledger Joker from Dark Knight.
