Welcome to Skyblock! 
In Skyblock, you spawn on a small floating block of land, and forced to survive and complete challenges! I started Skyblock for the second time today, and I got quite a ways. I found out how to make a simple generator that you see above, that works very well and is great in Skyblock! I put a little more work into this, as I'm going to try to with all new pictures! Programs: Minecraft (Base), Office.Microsoft (Cloud Art), Paint (Editing), Paint.net (Transparency Editing) I found this from Inthelittlewood's livestream. Go check out his channel! Hah! That's much easier and uses a lot less space then how I've been doing it! I've been digging a seven block space, five for the water and two for the lava. I might just try this the next time I start up a Skyblock game. Thanks ^^

I made obsidian 3 times when I started playing... had to re-download the files.
If I could make a suggestion? If you dig a hole adjacent to the cobblestone and stand in the hole as you mine, you have a better chance of picking up the cobblestone before it falls into the lava.

The first thing I would do is build an assload of fences, you never know when you're gonna fall off rofl

You start out with one tree, and you have to use it for tools, and then you have to plant another sapling, which takes a while to grow. :3

I remember when my husband made us try this on our smp server.. I hated it so much at first I wanted to just jump off and die LOL
needless to say it was kind of cramped at first on the tiny skyblock with two people, but after we built more room we got this multi-cobblestone generator going where we made like 4 at a time.
I did enjoy the skyblock for the short time we did it.. but I would rather not revisit it.. ever again
