Description
Heheh, just a quick end product from an OC session with my friends and .Darks decided to post up a capture of the whole session here: [link]
Unfortunately through middle of the session, one of our connections collapsed so some of us couldn't see what was going on in live time. We just decided to keep working and show what we did at the end... That and I'm a relatively slow drawer. Both of them could probably draw circles around me XDD
Anyway, neither Darks or Air have seen this so I hope you guys like it. This is the result of my sketch on the top left... with a little post-sketch Photoshop dress ups. XD
It was an awesome experience to draw with you guys. I hope we can do another sometime! Enjoy!

That's a pretty sweet piece of work! I like the calligraphy brush effect, although I guess it could be better. I've done a bit of Chinese calligraphy myself.
Is it supposed to mean 'day down'? Cuz that's how I read it...And the red stamp mark makes it appear authentic!
Great work!

Heheh, I'm not quite sure myself. I just got it off of Dark's character sheet for this guy. XD
As for the brush effect, it is a special preset in painter 9. First time using it this way. I'll definitely experiment with it more in the future. =]

can sum this up as...SPIFF. owo
bein the analytical type you'd probably appreciate this more than anyone. i'm going to break down the equation "this pic = INFINITE SPIFF" into its components.
first, note that "this pic" is the variable given to the entire picture. while it's been said that a good picture is more than the sum of its parts, for logical purposes the spiff should be so.
now then...
pose = SPIFF.
coloring = SPIFF.
subject = SPIFF.
liberties taken on subject = MULTIPLE SPIFFS.
things i have forgotten or overlooked = POTENTIALLY LIMITLESS SPIFF.
this pic = pose + coloring + subject + liberties taken on subject + things i have forgotten or overlooked.
rewritten, this pic = SPIFF + SPIFF + SPIFF + MULTIPLE SPIFFS + POTENTIALLY LIMITLESS SPIFF.
for all intents and purposes, since you could always find another thing i missed, POTENTIALLY LIMITLESS SPIFF = INFINITE SPIFF.
INFINITE SPIFF pwns, overwhelms, and absorbs the lesser finite SPIFFS by the nature of infinity itself.
thus, this pic = INFINITE SPIFF.
ya even picked my fav outta darkspeeds' characters. so really there's BONUS SPIFF in there somewhere. not that it makes much difference in the equation.
now i'm sleepy and my math may be slightly off, but somehow i think think i'm at least on to something here :3
anyway, faved with emphasis. on SPIFF.

Aah but you forgot to prove the base case. Does 0 + digital paper = SPIFF ? You kinda covered it in the "things i have forgotten or overlooked" but I don't think they'll let that slide on the exam. Better to use summation notation from n to infinity such that n = Spiff * n. You cover the axioms better that way. D8 *shot*
Darn logical/mathematical proofs. XD Anyway thanks for the delightfully clever comment, redfeatherraven. I appreciate it very much! ^_^

ah well...if they tell me that's a cop-out, i'll just shove it back at them.
if infinity is every number possible, and you have to actually write out all possibilities, then you're already using a shortcut and an all-encompassing "cover-my-ass case" by writing infinity. you SHOULD be writing out every last number. and that's exactly what i'll tell the graders to do if they don't like my very, very similar situation.
course your way works too, but this way i'm not rewriting anything. plus, i get to point out a clever little logical inconsistency that they can't really say anything about without writing for a really, really long time.
and the best part: if they ever DO take me up on that, they'll be writing so long that they won't be able to grade anything, and will thus be forced to give everyone in the class a perfect score to make up for it.
either a smartass (albeit correct) or a hero. i like my odds. :3

What do you if I'll like it? I love it! XXXD
Wow, another magnificent piece you have produced bro! = ) Fei's stance right there is really cool and conservative at the same time - an image of which I would like Fei to be portrayed in the series!
You did a great job finishing the drawing using what was sketched on OpenCanvas! You paid attention to some of the finer details and experimented with different effects such as the leaves on the background (with an opacity of <10% at least), the wind with your swirls of the tablet etc.
Well done and awesome contrasting too! I really enjoy this as well as apprecaite it Jason! ^__^ X3 *thumbs up*

That is an impressive pic, man! I love the color choice especially, it looks like getting all of the colors combined right took the most time!

Yeah, Darkspeeds was mentioning something about this program earlier.
If you can, you think you can point me to where I can find it?
I'd really like to get the chance to collab with one of you all sometime soon in the future as well.
Anyway, nice teamwork effort on this Chem.

You should be able to find your way from there. Get oC 1.1 as it's the only one with online capabilities

I didn't want to respond yet till I found the file.
I finally got the program downloaded. I kinda got lost on the site also, but I found it.
Thanks alot for the helping me.

Heheh, thanks for that Louis! ^^
I mentioned this in the other deviation but the version of opencanvas we used was version 1.1 b68. It is considered freeware and is currently the only version that has the networking feature(the creators decided to scrap the function in newer versions for some reason. ).
You can download it direct from here: [link]
You simply need the exe for it to work. It's a very simple, yet very powerful program! I am planning to make a comprehensive tutorial that shows how to use, host and distribute OC, so if you're interested in learning more, stay tuned! In the meantime, I'm open to questions via note and such.
Enjoy! ^^ *bows*
