Description The animated feature film "The Beauty and the Beast" is (c) Walt Disney Pictures / Buena Vista Productions. Please feel free to correct me if something is wrong or missing.

By borrowing a Beauty & Beast DVD from the library I saw the extra song scene "Human again" for the first time. My personal opinion: though there are some moments which are interesting and/or cute in its way, imho the film is as a whole better off without the song. Yes, I am probably influenced by knowing the movie for years only without the part anyway.

This little cartoon is influenced by the song, but also from the director's DVD commentary, when at one point they point out that Madame Potts is in the end nothing but a head. Well, yes, but hey, other enchanted things are not even heads anymore! All those living plates, glasses, Chip's siblings...! Or think of the dog-footrest - how does he even know where he is always running to? Sense of smell, sense of hearing? He's got no nose and no ears either!
- All right all right, I know, it is an animated movie with a lot of magic in it, not everything has to follow biological or physical laws.

Indeed! And when Le Fou rips out Fifi's feathers, was that actually body mutilation? And glueing a broken cup together, was that like emergency surgery? And to imagine there might have been even worse fates than being table pieces and cutlery and stuff! (like maybe ...ย  chepseh.deviantart.com/art/Belโ€ฆ )

And would removing Lumiere's candles classify as decapitation and amputation? And where do they get any of their food? What about the poor gardeners, who are undoubtedly shovels, wheelbarrows, and compost bins? What about the poor sap who got stuck as the carriage and carries people in his stomach? o.o

"Poor Letraine...

Why yes, I did! I am really happy when people remember my older stuff.

"What happened to all the furniture before the curse?"

The real furniture or the former employees? Considering how -many- things are alive in the castle I presuuume when cursed the servants kinda "melted" with things which were already there? Bah, but I guess I am just thinking way too much about it again. Don't question Disney magic.

So was it a case of just happening to stand near a clock when the curse hit, or that he had a job that seemed to involve clocks...the plot thickens...
