Description TAKEN ATOP A MOUNTAIN BY A CLIFFSIDE AWW YEAAAH

Sorry that the battle damage isn't too visible in this photo, but trust me, it's there around the impact marks.

A Rhino I've been working on for a diorama, belonging to the Space Wolves Chapter of the Astartes Legions (Space Marines).

I was going to take a better picture with dust effects..but I ended up going the wrong way D; and if I had turned around and went the way I normally do to get to the site where I take photo's, it would have been night by the time I got there ;-;

So this will do : P it's more about the diorama (It's a diorama of this photo: [link] ) I'm making than the Rhino itself anyway so whatever.

Here's a version of the photo with the protective hatch up and the side door down:

You can see pictures of the detailed interior at my WIP folder, along with some other random 40k stuff I'm working on.

AAAAAAAAAAANNND, for shits and giggles, here's a video of a REAL LIFE Rhino THQ build to promote Dawn of War 2!

The Rhino is a tracked armoured troop carrier used throughout the Imperium, but most notably by the Space Marines, Sisters of Battle as well as by the Chaos Space Marines. It is also used by the Inquisition and the Adeptus Arbites. The Rhino's versatile design has allowed the development (mostly through the rediscovery of STC designs) of several variants, each fulfilling a different tactical role. Popular variants are the Razorback, Predator, Whirlwind and Immolator.
History

And finally, a brief history on the Rhino, taken from the Lexicanum website :

The Rhino has been in service throughout the history of the Imperium. As an STC vehicle, the Rhino dates back to the distant time of Mankind's initial colonisation of the galaxy2. Originally, they were named "RH1 N0 - Tracked Exploration and Multi-defence" - commonly referred to as Rhinos1. It was used to explore newly colonised worlds prior to mass expansion, making sure there weren't any alien races waiting in ambush.

At its most basic level it is an armoured carrier with large tracks designed to cope with any terrain and protect those inside. It is such a basic design that it can be constructed from almost any material and run on any semi-combustible material. As such, the basic design has changed little throughout the years.

Sweeeeet. Yeah, gotta love natural locations for model photography. I think whenever I do armor, I'm gonna photo it outside.
