dA dude (c) dAStamp by *ChikitaWolf
EDIT: Wow, I'm gettin' llamas already, lol
EDIT2: Oh, cool-- got front page for 8 hours again xD Thanks everyone!
EDIT3: Um, I apologize if I don't reply to your comment ^^" I'm kinda swamped-- but really, I'm reading them all! Promise
EDIT4: Thank you for all the llamas, points, watches, and favs~!
Will it? Will it stop you?
There are going to be more talented artists out there. That's life. But is that going to stop you?
There are many incredible artists here on dA. Does that mean you can't become one yourself?
Some of us come by talent easily. Some of us have to work a little harder to get it than others.
So?
One thing I've learned while being here on dA is that just because an artist is better than me doesn't mean I suck at what I do. It really doesn't. It just means they're more talented in that area.
Is that going to stop me from doing what I LOVE to do?
I love love love to draw.
I don't do it for the views. I don't do it for the favs. I don't do it to keep watchers.
I do it because I LOVE to do it.
Does that mean I should stop just because there a ton more artists that are better than me at drawing?
Heck, no!
Why should that stop me? That should ENCOURAGE me to get better! It seems as if the term "role models" hasn't been used all that recently these days.
So, yeah. Same with all of you out there that write, draw, edit, etc-- are you going to stop doing what you LOVE to do just because someone happens to be better at it?
I hope not!
As one of my favorite characters in the D.Gray-Man manga lives by: "Keep walking. Never stop."
So don't give up, yeah?

I do agree with your post, OP. Though what I tend to despise among a lot of dA users is their inability to take advices/critics, not like a personal attack, but like a way to improve on their techniques/artstyle/etc...
I draw a lot, and I know there are a lot of better artists than me, but I want to practise/improve in order to be on the same professional level (theses artists did the same on their first beginnings after all). That what it encourages me to draw again and again.

I like critiques.. but not "destructive" critiques ^^" It seems as if it's a mix of things these days-- whether it be a "constructive" critique and they don't accept it or a "destructive" critique and they say they're leaving dA
Indeed!

Yeah! Who cares if someone draws simple arts unlike the better artists? for ex: I draw in deviantART muro while my fave artists use paint tool SAI. I don't know how to use this program but that doesn't mean I'll stop drawing!

Well good for you,I hope all goes well with you!
Yeah but I'm on not ask good at writing or drawing like most people on here and I've got really low self esteem and I'm depressed a lot and I've lost my motivation and inspiration to draw but I can't post any of my art that I've got because of our darn scanner part doesn't work-one down.So I've got my writing and I still feel out numbered and out gunned by everyone else on here
Stamps like motivation or whatever make me feel a little happy but that feeling goes away quick

My scanner sucks as well >3<
I used to be like that too.. until I realized that optimism sure made me happier I also accomplished a lot more and made so many wonderful friends.
Don't give up! Keep drawing-- you never know when someone might come across it and absolutely love it

Optimism is, in a practical sense, having hope. Believing that there is a chance-- positive Pessimism is when you're one who is often negative-- which can lead to giving up anything without trying 100% ^^"

I don't really agree with coloring other people's works without permission, but I do agree that there are a lot of amazing artists out there that should be seen as encouragement rather than make you feel bad.
I love looking at art and even those great and amazing artists you admire do make mistakes. I always fawn over art for hours, studying the image, admiring the beauty and after doing this for a while you start to notice the mistakes that might have been invisible to you. It can help you improve a lot. Anyways, I always see the "good" artists as inspiration and motivation to improve... it's like a little competition with myself.
Years ago, there were certain artists I looked up to and honestly I've improved so much while they seemed to stagger behind. I feel bad saying that, but it makes me wonder if those people were swallowed in the "can't get better because it's already perfect" comments. I hate those, honestly, I don't understand why anyone would ever tell someone that--or why on Earth anyone would actually listen to that!
Perfection is NOT attainable, no matter how good your art is, there is ALWAYS room for improvement. And this stamp is such a great reminder of that.

(in response to the question on the stamp) No, it would aspire me to practise a wide range of styles, and hopefully finding one I excel at.
