Will it? Will it stop you?
There are going to be more talented artists out there. That's life. But is that going to stop you?
There are many incredible artists here on dA. Does that mean you can't become one yourself?
Some of us come by talent easily. Some of us have to work a little harder to get it than others.
So?
One thing I've learned while being here on dA is that just because an artist is better than me doesn't mean I suck at what I do. It really doesn't. It just means they're more talented in that area.
Is that going to stop me from doing what I LOVE to do?
I love love love to draw.
I don't do it for the views. I don't do it for the favs. I don't do it to keep watchers.
I do it because I LOVE to do it.
Does that mean I should stop just because there a ton more artists that are better than me at drawing?
Heck, no!
Why should that stop me? That should ENCOURAGE me to get better! It seems as if the term "role models" hasn't been used all that recently these days.
So, yeah. Same with all of you out there that write, draw, edit, etc-- are you going to stop doing what you LOVE to do just because someone happens to be better at it?
I hope not!
As one of my favorite characters in the D.Gray-Man manga lives by: "Keep walking. Never stop."
So don't give up, yeah?

Even though I dream of becoming becoming a Game Artist and Animator and other stuff in the game career, I'm quite insecure and envious when it comes to artwork, which caused me to back away from dA for almost two years.

Most people dont like the drama at their school. The popular kids were always trying to get me to hang out with them and go to their parties. But I was always like "erm...no thanks."
My close friends were the potheads and the rockers. So the drama was always who's expelled and who got arrested. XD

I dont like parties either or clubbing. My dad owns a nightclub, so I always thought that scene was gross. I was always so bored at high school parties. T_T

My dad was the one who would sneak into the state fair... with a reversable jacket and tease the police xD Can't do that now, of course, lol. He also painted a giant "HELLOO!!!" on one of his friends houses roofs so everyone could see it, lmao

I think its funny your dad went from teasing the police to becoming a lawyer. My parents.....act like children, lol. Lawyers are cool...but anyone debating about politics can get scary, I just run and hide for cover.

Getting butthurt over someone being more popular and/or succesful is the worst mindset one can have. There is always someone above you, so if you devote your attention to reaching that top you will only make your life much more miserable. With that said the biggest lulz from this comes from people who try to put you down with this as an absolute fact. If your dealing with such a mainstream sheep then you have one extra person to ignore list. It's not a good idea to catter to mainstream love, it's a very unfaithful lover.
