Description One day when Zinnia was playing outside on her own, she was enjoying her time underneath the sun. However, when she was happily galloping across the land, she unintentionally trips over rocks causing her to stumble and knock her horn against another rock. It did hurt her, but she was more surprised than anything once she sees that the ring that has been stuck on her horn for so long had finally been removed. There it was, lying among the rocks. For the longest time, this ring has been stuck on her horn. Because of it, she was excited and relieved to see it off. The first thing she does is scratch her horn against the ground since the ring had been itching spots that she couldn't reach because of it. Now she started to remember how she got it in the first place. Shortly after Zinnia first arrived in the Mushroom Kingdom for the first time, she met Disarray and he said that he was impressed with the fact there was magic in her. However, he also knew it was hard for her to use it properly, often making mistakes. That's why he gave her this ring as a gift. It's called a safety ring, it's meant to help make whoever wears it to make them more stable when it comes to magic and it protects them from transformation spells. Her owner wore one as well, but it was always hidden underneath his glove. But now, Zinnia did feel different. She felt a shiver travel through her body. Zinnia picks up the ring and stares at it for some time. She was both in awe and slight concern. She couldn't understand it. How is it possible that such a small ring could do so much to her? In the end, it didn't matter. She didn't want it back on and she hoped Disarray wouldn't understand. Although it did protect and help control her power, it isn't something she was able to use too well and it wasn't comfortable either. Zinnia decides to hang onto it but she would try to get used to being without it again. Her last concern is the idea of Disarray secretly slipping it back on when she doesn't expect it.

This was a quick drawing of Zinnia wanted to get in. Yes, that ring I've been drawing on her horn all these times is supposed to be a modified version of the Safety Ring. A Safety Ring is one of my favorite equipment items in the game, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. As I said, it protects whoever wears it from magic attacks and transformation spells. It also makes them immune from other issues, but I always found it to be one of the best items in game. Despite this, I gave one to Zinnia since she is in the Mushroom World and because Disarray seems like the kind of character who would help her out this way, even though she may not appreciate it so much. As for Zinnia wearing the ring again, I haven't made a decision on if I'll bring it back or not. As for now, I may draw a few art pieces of Zinnia without it on.
But I will say that I liked how this drawing turned out. I had a little trouble with Zinnia's mane. I made it a little shorter than it's supposed to be, specifically in the back. Other than that, I thin everything turned out fine. But with that said, I'll see you all in the next one.

Although Disarray intended good things for Zinnia, she was ultimately unhappy with her ring regardless of it protecting her. Zinnia feels the urge to learn how to control her magic on her own. I'll say it again, imagine if Zinnia's magic is a bike and the safety ring is a pair of training wheels. Sure she makes less mistakes with it on, but she'll learn slower and won't gain experience from her mistakes. It's best for her to move on without it.

It looks like Disarray really wants her to wear that ring.

He did. He thought it would help her. For the most part, it did. But it always did make Zinnia's horn feel weird. While she felt safe, she also felt uncomfortable. Safety Rings aren't for everyone it seems. The reason why he put it on her horn is because it would never fit on a hoof. He unintentionally jams it all the way to the base though. Regardless, Zinnia seems happier without it and perhaps will understand her power more easily this way. We'll see what Zinnia is up to the next time. I have a couple more drawings in mind. Thanks for the favorites, regardless.

By the way, I've been playing Super Mario RPG again. A Peachless run. It's actually pretty easy. I even beat Clulex without relying on the lazy shells. It's all about knowing the weaknesses of the bad guys and taking care of the dangerous ones quickly.

Overall, Super Mario RPG is a pretty easy game. It isn't the most challenging game in the world, but it is still a classic. Even Culex is a snap if you know exactly what you are doing. Lazy shell or not, as long as you know each crystal's weaknesses, you're good to go.

This game is a great start to the Mario RPG franchise.

Pretty much. I just don't like how people rely on Peach and the lazy shell armor for the Clulex fight. It seems kind of cheap. But I guess everyone is allowed to play their own way.

It does make the fight easier. I myself have used Peach and the Lazy Shell in the fight against Culex. Maybe I'll try it without it sometime.

It's easy, Peach can be replaced by good items and equipment. She is kind overrated if you ask me. Still, I see the appeal of having a healer. Just one as good as her isn't necessary. I rather deal more damage than that.

As awesome as she is, she is a whee bit overpowered in this game
