In rock I really like some of the older stuff (Hendrix, Led, Ozzy, AC/DC, etc.) and newer iconoclasts like Linkin Park, Hoobastank, Korn, Revis, etc. and even motown bands.
Have you seen "School of Rock" yet? It has some cutesy parts but it really kicks ass! Definitely check it out.

i will take your advice because i have never seen it. anyways korn is a cool band but i don't really like linkin park but hendrix and ozzy kick ass
