[ Hi, I'm here forΒ March: Intro and Feedback Frenzy! Β Β ]
To be honest at the first glance I don't find this photo interesting since there's not many objects standing out:
. the colors are rather muted
. some details are blurred
. not many objects to see, there's no noted interesting gesture on the animal either
But then I believe it must be difficult to capture a moving animal while paying attention to the surroundings (and I don't think I would be able to shoot the scene better if I were you) so for the effort I'll give you a thumbs up. A suggestion of improvement if there's nothing you could do about the composition etc is to add a bit of saturation/vibrance on the color so as the photo would look less dull. It's a nice nature shot nevertheless.~

I thought about your criticism for a few days, so I'm sorry for the late reply. All the things you mentioned were intentional. The muted colors, the big aperture to blur the background. I paid very well attention to the animal. But in essence this means that what I was trying to convey with this image hasn't reached you as the viewer. This image was meant to show the calm, quiet serenity of the forest. No harsh colors, a soft blur and some space for the goat to show how vast and empty a forest can be.

Well, in that case, then you've done a good job for the purpose. My comment might be affected by my personal taste on preferring vibrant colors.
