So I wanted to paint this since... December.It is now May.
... yeah. University definitely took all my time. But, now the new cover for the next SS chapter is finished!

Oh I am already really considering reading your fanfic, I have it open on computer, and on my phone, and I will hopefully start soon :3 I am super impressed by the fact you spent 6 years on it and drew all these illustrations (that reminds me of me and my gf and our illustrated fanfics and stories so I see kindred creative spirits here and it makes me happy & curious <3), bless you two for such epic contribution to the fandom! Also don't be mislead, the fact I ship Alister/Percy doesn't mean I don't want to get to know other possibilities ;D
And seriously, I'm so happy to talk to you. I miss the times when people talked to each other on dA. Most of my old time friends have moved on and it's pretty silent these days.

Oh gosh! If you do start it, let me know! *u* I have to warn you, since we started the fic when I was... 16 years old, if not younger, the style may be a little wonky. And hahaha, I am one of those people who is absolutely taken with some scenes they have thought up, and there are many plot points, twists etc. that I had worked on for months, and some even for 4 years. [which is where the story is at right now] More fandom artwork and contributions should be made!
The pleasure is all mine! I am excited to talk to someone in the fandom on dA again. There's something truly jovial about replying to comments, having discussions through this and the like. Tumblr is all nice and sweet, but at times, it just feels so... unpersonal. Most people don't even comment or reblog, just like. It feels like swimming in a sea without ever being seen.
On my end, it seems to still go quite well - I have a few people who comment and talk to me frequently, so that is nice, but the landscape has definitely changed.

Sure thing, I'll obviously leave you some comments ;3 And don't worry I know all about writing a thing for so long that the beginning feels like written by someone else XD We're currently in a process of completely rewriting one of our original stories for that very reason, sad part being that we never even uploaded it anywhere yet, we just keep telling friends for years that we are writing it XD So basically no worries, I'm going to read it with understanding you started 6 years ago XD
Also it's great you love what you're writing & illustrating, we also get attached to ideas. We do the same, I love to think back to some moments in stories, and of course, to illustrate them ahh <3
I like both dA and tumblr. They both have very different dynamic though so I just adapt my expectations XD. I guess it's also a matter of having that bunch of friends here or there, who would make the site fun for you. On dA I'm meeting some new folks now and they're all being great so I'm happy to see the community is not actually dying (many old timers seem to think that).

My friend and I were so happy about it!!! *U* You have no idea! It's been such a long while since we last got such a long and insightful comment! I'll reply to it soon. And gosh, I know that feeling! Somehow, my friend and I never concentrate on the RPs we should concentrate on [Like ShellShock, it's been a fw months since the last session!], and instead get caught up in a side RP with two OCs you'll meet in ShellShock. [I COULDN'T TAKE tHAt THE SHIP WOULDN'T HAPPEN IN SS SO WE MOVED IT TO AN AU that isn't really an AU because we always find a way to link and explain why the AU resulted from Shellshock's canon ending.]
Yeah, that's what I do! Though usually, I do it before we post the chapter, so that way there's a push for me to actually do the art XD;; that also means that the art is pretty late... hahhaha

Hmmm, true true. It's kind of hard to get connected on Tumblr though. I've been trying to build a following there, but I haven't even gotten past 530 yet, after 4 years. It is a little upsetting at times. dA still feels like my homebase, to be honest, and I hope it'll continue to go strong.

I know stuff about moving OCs into other stories because you wan't to develop them hehe XD So that's nice you did it. We also have too many project going on at once, and the worst thing is we get distracted into writing fanfics instead of working on our novels. So I feel the pain here XD So is ShellShock close to reaching the end plot-wise? I mean I know nothing about it yet, since I just started, but I'm curious how many more chapters were you planning?
Oh yes, thumbnails need to be done before chapters are posted or there is never motivation for it later XD
About tumblr, same story, I also don't have luck with followers. Maybe if I were into some more popular fandoms, eh XDDD Gf though is more popular because she draws neat, funny comics and those are always popular. She draws so quickly though. I take way too much time on pictures still so I don't even dream of doing comics yet

LOL, that's the exact same way I am! My friend is more into reading fanfics, but I usually don't look at other people's fics anymore. I'm so glad for your feedbac, though!
I think since we started ShellShock, we had three substantial [speak: 100+ pages, two are even 360+], one moderate [around 50 pages and not finished], and numerous smaller RPs that I can't even count beside SS. Maybe it's the stagefright of finishing ShellShock. Maybe not. We are, however, indeed close to finishing! Plot wise, it's just a matter of getting from location A to B, and it's not easy. XD;;; Kinda like being in a bad spot, not sure how to work it out.
Yeah, it's really weird. Tumblr exposure is a fleeting thing that isn't really tangible, unless you're an established artist with a following in the 1000's for your artwork. And yes, I know exactly what you mean! Some of my illustrations barely get more than 10 notes, while some doodle may get 100. =_= It's a little odd, but that's the way it goes.
