"We wanted to play but we had nothing left to play for."Meanings why I chose this one line (besides the fact that I was listening to this song while doodling)? Well, the rest of the song lyrics (Colourless Colour by: La Roux) don't really fit in with what he's feeling. Basically, he's not afraid to teeter on the edge of being a traitor to demons, although right now he's in one of those moods thinking, "Why do I do this to myself if the reason I started being like this is gone?"
Hence: We wanted to play (He wants to interact with the humans) but we had nothing left to play for (but that one nun mentioned in his biography is dead now, so he wonders why he continues when he should know better and just stick with his own kind)
