Well, I am glad I helped - hope it is not too late - ..
School never teach anything good and most of the things I learned by experimenting

Hi I have a small question.
When you say ink.. what kind of ink are you talking about? like, chinese type of inks?
If there's a certain brand to use, I'd really appreciate it thanks!

Oh, okay
Thing is, I tried chinese type of ink and it didn't work... and I don't know any other type of liquid inks where I live (Chile) there's not a wide variety of things.. I'd like to order some online, though.
Thanks for your help!

Could you use acryllic inks to colour clay? They're like a cross between acyllic paint and normal ink. I would test it but I don't want my oven to explode or anything!!

You mean the heavy actylic inks that comes in paste like tubes? Well I never tried them but mixing actylic with the clay is possible although acrylics are water based colors and they are not that strong colors once they are mixed. You will need to add a lot of colors to get a heavy color clay. I tried normal acrylics and heavy acrylics will give the same results but more likely to be better

I mean these inks: [link] Thank you so much for your help, I will try it out and hopefully something will work!! I thought maybe if it doesn't work well to colour normal clay then it might be ok for mixing the "whipped cream" fimo stuff? Like, adding a few drops of colour with the normal white fimo and the liquid fimo? I think I'll try that.

Oh! these are somehow similar to the inks I have n____n.
They sure will work mixing colors with white fimo or even
enhancing colored ones if you want .
Also I use those or colored clay to add colors to the whipped
cream effect. Sure inks is easier but if you want lighter color
like baby pink and stuff, it would be better to add a small block
of pink clay than to add ink. Inks add strong colors n_____n ..

How much is the liquid paint? And where can you buy it?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
ChocoAng3l In reply to x-Cocao [2009-04-26 11:04:31 +0000 UTC]
Well I bought it like $3.5 for each color
And you can find them at Micheals or any craft store. There is different brands and you might not see the one in the picture because I bought it last year and by now it is not around but you can always ask the store keeper to help you

cool i don't know chalk pastels can be used 8D question, doesn't chalk pastels come off easily?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
ChocoAng3l In reply to PhoGa [2008-09-26 04:57:15 +0000 UTC]
Chalk Pastels if used before baking, they'll need to be powdered and mixed in to the clay.
If you are using them after the baking .. you need to have skills because they require baking to be fixed on your clay charms
and multi layers if you are seeking for stronge colors.

chalks o.O
you use chalks to color normal clay before baking right ?
don't you find it making the clay alittle rough ?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
TokiCrafts In reply to ChocoAng3l [2008-09-26 17:18:10 +0000 UTC]
lol yea xD I use them with white clay
It was VERY hard T___T and tiring and time consuming, even my sister told me that it looked very hard D:
But i doubt that i will do it again, cuz i hopefully will be able to color with acrylics or buy colored fimo and chalk pastels !

ChocoAng3l In reply to TokiCrafts [2008-09-27 09:22:21 +0000 UTC]
never do that again
I tried pastel .. they are going to be the same
acrylics are the best .. if you don't have other colors of fimo to color your clay
then just color it by acrylics .. since it is much easier
