All Peter now ate for breakfast was grilled cheese sandwiches. Before, he'd have eaten anything. The others weren't sure Peter's rat mind realised that he should be eating from the bins.

Remus had always had a distinct liking for undercooked bacon, often disregarding healthier-looking pieces in favour of the more raw, meaty strips. This only seemed to escalate as Sirius began devouring meat in alarmingly huge amounts, eating anything that ranged from sausages and bacon to eggs, wolfed down enthusiastically.

James's breakfast had changed beyond all recognition. Before, a full English breakfast had often been on the menu – now, meat seem dot be the last thing on his mind as he collected together the fruit of the Gryffindor table and began slowly working his way through it, accompanied by dry cereal, and inundated with the leaves of the fruits.

The rest of Gryffindor watched with curiosity, then amazement, then acceptance. They were the most popular kids in school, after all. They could get away with it.
