Hi Kathie! Glad to hear more from you again! It's okay, I perfectly understand. November has been the busiest month for me as well; blame college. 

Aww, thank you for all your comments, they mean a lot to me! C: Yeah, I can't wait to see more of Dark side of Dimensions too - so many suspense and spoilers lol. And go figures. Methinks Yuugi would be struggling internally a lot about his newfound role as the king of games, what with all the psychological struggles of living without a ancient Egyptian ghost in your head. So maybe it's that It's been only six months since Atem's dying, after all.

Thank you. ^^  I'm glad I could capture Yuugi's new maturity in that drawing! He looks like he got a good thousand years older in the new movie, afterAtem left. Quite a contrast from his babypanda-ish innocence persona from before.

But then again, he's had his fair share of struggles - not to mention all the tragedies he's witnessed (especially the Memory world with the Kul Ena's drama thing, Thief King Bakura and Zork. And battling with the guy he's had a spiritual connection with. And watching that guy leave him forever.) 

Yuugi's sure has come a long way.

Yes, he certainly has. I think post-canon, Atem leaving him must have been the biggest struggle of them all. I'm glad that he seems relatively happy in this movie as opposed to sad over the departure.

(I also have a tiny headcanon that Atem sharing his body may have stunted his growth a little, which is why he grew so suddenly. Who knows what ancient magic can do to your height )

Cool headcanon. I can see the Items magic somehow influencing the minds and body of their bearers; and it makes a lot of sense the presence of two souls in one body - all that appearance/size switching - could have affected Yuugi's growth too. Maybe after Atem leaves for afterlife, Yuugi's genetic program is all messed up and have no idea what to do, so just settled to gradually change Yuugi into another version of Atem. Which may explain why he looks so similar to the Pharaoh, now (his eyes has grown more angular ands stuff). :/

Now, I wonder if Atem occupying Yuugi's body also altered his health, too.

Hm, well I personally think they're reincarnations of each other so I always imagined that they'd grow to look similar, although not the same as one another. It would be different this time, however since Yugi would hopefully grow to live a longer life and I think environmental factors do play a great role in our appearance.

If I recall correctly, we differ in belief on this headcanon, so going by your previous thoughts, the above you mentioned certainly has some plausibility ^^ Although, with the absence of Atem over long time span, that effect may hopefully slowly fade away.

Haha, I'm pretty sure even if it hasn't, his mother would seem to think so with her occasionally hearing him having full-blown out conversations with 'himself' and someone named 'Yami.'

It would be awesome to see Yuugi in his adult years to see what he would look like!  

his mindset and growth must be a total mystery to her mother (aside from a lot of other people around him). She didn't know about Atem's existence; still, I'm surprised the woman didn't take the time to have some serious conversation with her son about his talking habits by now; or have him go to some psychiatrist. Yuugi would have the hardest times figuring out how to explain it all xD
