My take on X-23 (Laura Kinney) for a commissioned piece I'm putting the finishing touches on. For those of you unfamiliar with the character, she is the cloned daughter of Wolverine (Logan) from the X-Men.Out of respect for the owner's wishes, no portion of the final image will be released. However, I wanted to share the character with all of you (especially my Heroine Fan Watchers). Something different than what I typically release? Yes, but certainly not out of my wheelhouse. I'm a bit more than a "one-trick pony"

Tis a shame that the purchaser wanted to keep the final scene private, but nothing can be done about that. Just glad you were allowed to share what you did

It was originally the purchasers idea which, for the same reasons you mentioned, I was more than happy to tackle! So far as commissions go, I always respect the purchasers wishes. Some have accepted a release of a different angle of the piece, while others don't even want concepts of the models released. I'm fine with all of it and appreciative of their confidence in me to comply. But I have rights to both X and Elektra and have a definite scene in mind

This is a professional image! Love the intensity of her expression and the stylish rebel outfit she has! A great modern interpretation of X-23! Lighting is spot on as usual -the use of shadowing resembles black highlights in comic books to let the characters stand out

I'll let you in on a little secret (yeah, here in the open comments section LOL): The owner came to a final decision on the second character last night, and I'll be releasing her render soon. A little hint: she's also from the Marvel Universe, and is a well-known nemesis of X-23

Ginsu ain't got nothin' on Laura! I've seen different versions of her with 2 and 3 blades and I toiled over it for a while, before deciding to go with three blades...it looks more menacing
