I didn't even recognize this as DBZ at first because I never recalled the series to look this fucking epic like how you've portrayed it here. If the original DBZ looked this good, I might have finished watching the series; nevertheless, this is FAR from horrible. *____*

It's not a typical fanart piece in my opinion. It does have certain aspects in common with the series like the epicness and the character(s). But that's all about it. I think it's a very good achievement to do your own twist to a well known theme and still capture the original feeling. Definitely not horrible!

This is fantastic! You really get the flow of the fire and the chi; the idea of a maelstrom of energy. I don't think you have to even have watched DBZ (though who hasn't?) to really get a feel for the desperation, one man against the world kind of situation.
Only problem I have is that you're downtalking your work. Own up to it; it is a masterpiece.
