The Winter Sphere~
The cold has come it is safe to say
The sun is hidden no time left to play
Out of the north comes the frozen cold
Affects me now these bones of old
Now is the time of joy and cheer
Like it I do when this time comes near
Snuggle I will, close to the fire
And dream again of summer desire..............

I wonder how bears can sleep so long in between feedings

They have the ultra cool ability to slow their metabolism and live off the fat stored from the summer buffet. They do wake up hungry on occasion if they haven't stored enough fat to last the winter and when they do they are grumpy, indeed!
But like you, snacks are always required
