Description
You just know when those spines glow things are about to get real.Wow Β 4 uploads in like 2 days... admittedly its a backlog of work I did to expand my portfolio. This is the latest in trying something new. The reason I focus so much on environments and Technology is because i'm simply not that good at anything else, this year I resolved to change that.
This is my first attempt at making something organic, Godzilla, The king of the monsters. Hopefully he turned out ok. Might try another tomorrow.
While there are certainly more exciting Kaiju out there, Godzilla is and will always be the greatest, not just because of his design, his badass attitude or his atomic ray, but because he means something. Godzilla was the creation of a young filmmaker who wanted to express the horror of the Atom bomb and he isn't going to go away quietly.

Godzilla is a very popular character in pop culture, almost similar in case to Batman's popularity. With this Godzilla submission, it shows the ferocious and unstoppable side to him. The lighting is excellently used as if Godzilla was attacking a city on a stormy night. The effects of Godzilla's spines lighting up to use his atomic breath reminds me of the special effects artistry of Eiji Tsuburaya, Teruyoshi Nakano or Koichi Kawakita, several of the visual effects artists who worked on many of Godzilla's movies in Japan. It also reminds me of some of the best Godzilla movies as well as the 2014 film.

This is such an awesome pic. The muted colours are great here. Love just the blacks and greys and then the cool blue for the charge attack for his mouth and fins. Beautiful.
And for your first attempt at something organic he's really good. The lovely ripples and details on his skin look realistic. And the rain effects are lovely. That dino's just oozing power.

ooops hit the submit before I remembered to say, it came out great. The spikes seem a little less natural than they could but still look cool. Β Overall I'd say its really well done. I especially like the inclusion of the lightning in the background, ties the ability to charge up and do the blue fire breathing thing back to nature!Β

Oh this moment in the movie, I almost leapt up from my chair in the cinema's, I was so pumped XD I reallllyyy liked this movie because it was bad-ass, but also well put on screen and directed in a more intelligent way. I don't know if this is based on the new movie, but I do get a bit of that excitement looking at your picture Good job!

I quite liked it too
Its not really based on any of the movies, I was semi trying to do the 90s one but accidentally ended up doing my own thing.
