Description Another spacecraft to populate the growing "Life on the Edge" universe.

The Cassandra is A United Earth Alliance science vessel designed  for research within known Space. She is about 180 meters long, with two shuttles and a crew of about 20.

The script called for a military science vessel, so here she is, not quite as flashy as the Hercules   I went down a more 80s/70s inspired route for this one, I felt the AWACS pod made it more "sciencey"

This ship marks a breakthrough for me in blender, while the final shot was vue/photoshop the ship was modelled and textured in blender. Still getting the hang of the cycles renderer but nearly there

Outstanding work! The solar flares and matrixes coming off the star are nicely done. The ship looks very realistic with the intakes on the port and starboard "wings" (for lack of a better word) Weapon/probe mounts on the nose and wings look interesting as well. I really like what you did with the "AWACS" dish on the top. I would have never thought of using something like that on a space ship but you have it working like a champ. Good job! The only possible negative thing I could say is I am not seeing any energy being reflected off of any shielding from the ship keeping the crew safe. But like I said, outstanding work!

I am thoroughly in love with this ship's design. It's relatively understated, (you might say the design is humble, if that makes sense) it's neat and clean, all the individual components make sense - you know what everything does, and there are some really neat details on it, like the launch bay doors up top which give an excellent sense of scale.

I love the overall look of the ship but at 90 meters she sounds a bit small for 20 men.
As always another great work
