Description Updated and improved.

Its no secret that my Favourite Thunderbird is Thunderbird 1, but I can't deny how iconic Thunderbird 2 is.

Her design looks great from every angle and the pod idea was utter genius, she has a sleekness neither the Movie or the "IR" version quite captured. This is the Thunderbirds TB10 one used in the main and end titles with slight modifications.

Its interesting to note the production team thought that TB1 would be the star vehicle and where surprised about the popularity the slower cargo plane received. Personally though I always thought TB1 was underused as in theory its supposed to be able to handle a lot of rescues by itself.

Also my 100th Deviation apparently, hooray. Does this mean i'm cool, or just desperate for attention?

*Update* For helping out with the Fanderson Pod Vehicle competition, Fanderson very kindly took this to be signed by Gerry. Apparently he quite liked it, I am told he was very i'll at the time but I am honoured he still took the time to sign it.

My favourite TB is TB2. This is awesome artwork!! TB2 captured at its best - against the weather and the odds.

Can someone explain to me how the fuck the pods seem to just warp through the landing struts on takeoff lol

This is a fantastic improvement on the original, which was great itself. Β I can't get enough Thunderbird 2.

I always thought of TB1 and rapid response and command.
And TB2 was the real "rescue" vehicle.
But its modular design was the most impressive element for me. Which probably why I like its spiritual successor even more, the Eagle from Space:1999.

It's a great composition!

Oh wow!! Β I missed this one of yours and I love it! Β I agree with TB1 in the original series being underutilised - when we see her in action, she can do quite a lot! Β

TB2 is so iconic, and it really is the machine that when it arrives says that everything is sorted! Β  Lovely lovely work!

She is by far my favorite Β

Just something about the curved design, the artful look the whole thing had, it's ability to carry oddly specific tractors to the one area where they're needed, and it's overall big-ness.

Thunderbird 2 is the only Thunderbird you really need.Β

Thunderbird 1? Goes somewhere fast, then waits for Thunderbird 2 to show up.

Thunderbird 5? Used to tell Thunderbird 2 where to go.

Thunderbird 3? Used to ferry people to Thunderbird 5 so they can tell Thunderbird 2 where to go.

Thunderbird 4? Can't do anything without Thunderbird 2 taking it places first.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THUNDERBIRD 2.

But TB1 allows them to get there fast and assess the situation, to figure out what TB2 needs to bring.

TB3 is the only one capable of space-based rescue mission, such as Sun Probe.

TB4 - only one capable of underwater rescue.

The Thunderbird machines are all equally important.

Fantastic work, and you just can't beat the original Thunderbird 2 design. TB2's always been my favourite (I wish I still had my old toy, and that I hadn't lost the TB2 off the Thunderbirds alarm clock that I still own.) and you've perfectly captured it doing what it does best and showing off the great design.
