Commission for bloodraven55 on tumblr. Their OC Viridian Kahina, one of the members of their OC rwby team.Honestly had a lot of fun drawing her! Maybe it's the simple design with details that gives the characters That Something Extra - like the eye tattoo and the green highlights,, it's just 10/10.

I like are they based on anything? A book character or even an old movie?

Not that I know of,, before drawing they told me more about the character, like her semblance (she can see 24h into the future of a person she makes skin contact with!), weapons (2 daggers named Leaf and Jade) and personality (reserved and collected, but has her dorky moments once in a while), but no mention if Viridian was based on anything.
Though if you'll like to know more about the OC, I can assure you they would love to talk to you about it! They have a Tumblr and you can send an ask there! They will certainly be able to explain her better than I ksdg
