Love your work! I was wondering how do you get the markers to not have that white speckled look. I like copics but I notice some colors, like the darker ones, seem to do it more.Β

I think I know what you're talking about. I get that in my work as well, but by the time I've done a couple layers of marker and add the paint washes to it, it;s not that noticeable anymore.

I like the blends that are happening in the shadows. Always a stylish look to any composition of colors. Looks good man.

oh god yes it is! but you make it look so effortless I can't imagine how long it took you. did you colour it all on one take Β or did you apply greys before?Β

ChristopherStevens In reply to Kaedegirl [2015-12-20 01:11:54 +0000 UTC]
I think it took about 25 hours or so.Β
I have been using colors only these days. When I try layering greytones into the colors, it tends to muddy things and make them pretty drab and dark.

25 hours??? oooh it's quite a lot of time working on it but it shows! it's gorgeous Β
Ah! I'm glad you understood what I meant! Β I was wondering if you actually only used colour instead of layering greytones it looks different from your earlier work and much better but also riskier I believe? it works fine with you
I'm very happy you're doing it!

The detail in the robot/sentinel arm - even as a background subject - is fantastic. Magnificent attention to detail as always, sir - love to see your work.
