Description Just refining/updating my postprocessing techniques.

Not verry intresting to look at, but hey at least i posted something. Its been a while since i did that.

Try using photomatix, or any other tone mapping dedicated tool. Might work well with your HDR files

yeah, i have photomatrix but for some reason i like to use photoshop's tools better...

Hi CHRiTTeR,

Can you give more comment on your technique. I guess you render your image as 32 bit right? And then tonemap it in photoshop? Is this correct. Can you explain how you do the tone mapping?

its ok, but its verry basic and limited. But i dont think its meant to be a 'real' tonemapping solution.
Its more meant to get the output good enough for further compositing/colorgrading/tonemapping in a dedicated software without getting into trouble with artifacts or other nasty stuff.

Also, in vray, if you render to sRGB (via its built in framebuffer) you pretty much cant use colormapping (because then its used for importance sampling only).
