The town of Crystal Valley, New Jersey is a case study in the negative effects of Reaganomics on the safety of the average American teenager.
During the 1970s, it enjoyed relatively low fatality rates amongst the members of the community not engaged in already dangerous professions.
However, in the early 1980s, reports of gruesome injuries and casualties began plaguing the small town, particularly during the hot summer months.

The worst of which occured at Lake Crystal, frequent home to various summer camps and recreational activities.
Throughout the decade, the number of children and teenagers who were causalties in grievous bodily injuries skyrocketed, most often inflicted by sharp blades or impaling metal.
In addition, the site quickly became a biohazard; in 1986, relaxing environmental regulations allowed many of the local manufacturing companies to establish a toxic waste dumping site on the coast of the lake, but due to poor storage, thousands of gallons of radioactive and toxic waste leaked into the lake, often actively mutating the exposed wildlife into overgrowing, often multiple sizes larger than their unexposed bretheren.

A common theory and urban legend in the town's recent history is that of the Masked Giantess, a supposedly 13 foot zombie that was created when a little girl was drowned in the toxic lake, by a resentful camp counselor. Although the prospect is clearly ridiculous, a part of the meme's appeal is that whenever the story is told about the Masked Giantess, it often aligns shockingly with the crime scene reports.

While no summer camps have opened very long in Crystal Valley since the late 1990s, and Lake Crystal and its Masked Giantess are still prominent fixtures in the culture of the town. Although she very likey never existed, rumors keep buzzing around that the toxic waste in the lake has multiplied her size many times since the 1990s, and her current size maybe as large as 49 to 51 feet presently.

Note: I was inspired by, and gave as reference, fanart of genderflipped Jason Voorhees, particularly the anime design given to her for the Male Reader x Fem Jason story/meme(?) that's been floating around the internet. It's a really great design, but it also technically makes this fanart this time. Uh, consider this a disclaimer, I guess.

More importantly, I'm an absolute sucker for dramatic lighting and angles, and honestly, my entire proposal was written solely because I wanted to see a giantess in chiaroscuro loom over smaller characters.
